My husbands brother
Charles loved his family and was a hard working man.He was the Father of a daughter and 2 sons and was a grandfather. He was the oldest of 14 children, and was a veteran of World War II. The weight of the world sometimes seemed to be on his shoulders. Charles was always kind to me, We spent many hours with him and Norma and their children and we miss him

Lincoln -- Charles W. Leevey, 59 of Lincoln, died at 1:45 p.m. yesterdday ( August 2, 1984) at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield. He had been ill.
His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Fricke- Calvert- Schrader Funeral Home Lincoln, the Rev. F.M. Davis and the Rev. Clinton Coffman officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and an hour before the service at the funeral home.
He was born Aug. 26, 1924, at Clinton, a son of Clyde and Ura Duff Leevey. He married Norma Deavers, Sept. 22, 1962, at New Holland, She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, David and Charles E. both of Lincoln. a daughter, Wanda Lou Langley , Destin, Fla.; five brothers, John, Ogden; Jim and Robert both of Tyler, Texas; and Kenneth and Paul , Clinton; seven sisters, Annabelle Marks, Lincoln; Clara Taylor, Norma Vinson, Catherine Burton, Barbara Welch, all of Clinton; Evelyn Roberts, Farmer City, and Laura Mae Burton, Decatur; and three grandchildren.
A sister preceded him in death.
He was a lawn service worker in Lincoln, and was an Army veteran from World War II
